It’s a bittersweet feeling leaving behind for two years, but the part I’m bitter about is being out of the loop with everything which can be a good and bad thing. Wether I know you or not, I strongly encourage you to write or email me while I’m gone. Don’t worry I’ve pretty much heard it all before so don’t be shy. I love hearing about others life so let it rip, I promise I will write you back and tell you all of my crazy stories 🙂

I do ask that y’all keep me up to date with sports because my Dallas cowboys are on the raise (Of course right before I leave).

If anyone would like to send me a care package raising canes, panda express and ice cream will be much appreciated. Haha jk I will love you forever if you send me ANYTHING!! Ughh.. I can just imagine my face when I get american food sent to me.

Anyways my parents will keep you guys updated with my new address as I get transfered to different places. From what I’ve heard it may be pretty pricey shipping stuff (not letters) over there, so I will leave my mom’s address from Houston and my dad’s from San Antonio so you guys can just drop stuff off at their house so they can mail it with their stuff to make things cheaper.

Looking forward to hearing from y’all!!!! :))))

Greetings, young missionary. Como esta usted? I will make this short and sweet. With Valentine’s Day coming up, I want to say how much we LOVE YOU. Two weeks has past and it seems that you have been gone for months. We are blessed to have you as a son. The family has a letter going out this week. We look forward to reading your blogs and letters.

Hi Jacob! I’m sorry I haven’t contacted you before now. I had not been able to get on your site until now. I think I had a bad link. I hope you’re doing well. Seems like you are when I read your posts. We sure miss you around here. Rachael has taken over your room. School is about to wind down and I am so happy to start summer break. All of the teachers at my school are counting the days. We have 14 left, and the last day is a half day for the students at my school. I just finished writing my exams and exam reviews. Smooth sailing now that the horrible STAAR test is over. We can actually have fun teaching now. (Hmm…the prep for STAAR lasted until March 30th and April 1st for me. Seems like a lot of time to prep for a state test…)

I will pass on your information to Chris and Pat so they can check out your blog. Idk if you have been told, but Pat and Lexi got married!! They just went to the chapel on base and did it!! I’m hoping we can have some type of reception this summer since none of us were there . I am so blessed to have such sweet daughters-in-law. Chris and Kat got ANOTHER Great Dane!! So now they have 2 gigantic dogs in an apartment . Caitlin graduates June 10th and will be headed to Abilene Christian University as far as we know. Need to get her loan in place, but she was awarded huge scholarships for the next 4 years. Still, it’s private school, so super expensive. Braeden has been ill off and on with his Crohn’s disease. But he’s been doing good with his grades this last 9 weeks, so that’s good. He’s also found out that the Marine Corp will accept medical waivers, so he’s hoping he will have a chance to follow in his brothers’ footsteps.

Your dad is still cooking like crazy around here. I had to go on Chris’s insane diet to lose some weight! I was able to lose 13 pounds and I didn’t even work out. Now that school has slowed down, I need to get back to my routine. I took a Hot Yoga class yesterday. It was super hard, but I can proudly say I made it through the 90 minute class. That’s about all the news I have for now.

Keep up the good work and we will continue to keep you in our prayers.

    Love you,
    Mendy
